Food Supplements Europe has been created in 2013 to represent the interests of the European food supplement sector. Its membership includes national associations and companies committed to ensuring that future EU legislation and policy reflects the important role that this sector plays in the health of consumers.

As Regulatory Affairs Director, Lorène Courrège is providing advice and recommendations to Food Supplements Europe members on EU legislative developments and compliance in the area of food law, liaising with EU Institutions on issues of interest to the sector.

After completing her legal studies, she started her career as assistant to a British MEP, and then moved to an international law firm providing advice on European food law to various international clients, including trade associations. She joined EAS strategies, the Brussels-based advisers specialising in regulatory and strategic advice on nutritional products, in January 2005, providing regulatory and strategic support notably to European trade associations . Throughout her career, she participated to the debates around the adoption of key pieces of EU food legislation such as the Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation, the Food Supplement Directive, the Addition of Nutrients to Foods and has specialised knowledge of the working of EU institutions …
